NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING Via ZOOM Saturday 25^th April 2020

AGENDA

Pursuant to Clause 10 of the Constitution, notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting (the Meeting) of the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri (South London) Jamaat will be held on Saturday 25^th April 2020 at 10:30pm via Zoom (details to follow) for the purpose of transacting the following business:

1.  Recitation of Holy Quran

2. To consider and approve the purchase of Pioneer Place, Featherbed Lane, Addington, Croydon CR0 9AW for an amount not exceeding £4,900,000 to include purchase costs (Actual property price £4,500,000) – Proposed by Dr Liaket Dewji

RESOLUTION

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT:

1. The Management Committee of The Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri (South London) Jamaat be authorised to purchase the site at Pioneer Place, Featherbed Lane, Addington, Croydon CR0 9AW (the Property) for an amount up to £4,900,000 (Purchase Amount £4,500,000) which shall include purchase costs relating thereto,

2. The Management Committee of The Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri (South London) Jamaat be further authorised to raise funds and incur any indebtedness in connection with the purchase of the Property.

3. To consider the funding thereof.

Notes:

A: Any resolutions put to vote at the Meeting shall not be effective unless they are passed by a majority of the members present at the Meeting entitled to vote on them at the Meeting. 

B: No member who is absent from the Meeting shall be entitled to vote by proxy.  

C: Voting shall take place physically via the Zoom platform. All Members intending to vote at the Meeting must make themselves available to physically vote and be seen to do so. This is to protect the integrity of the Meeting. Any concerns about an inability to vote on, or otherwise access, the Zoom platform must be raised with the Hon. Secretary at least 24 hours before the start of the Meeting and reasonable adjustments shall be made to allow for effective participation.
